Executive Vice President
Chris Callahan is an Executive Vice President at World Class and is Co-Head of Debt Strategies at World Class Capital Group. Mr. Callahan has over 20 years of real estate industry experience, and most recently served as a Managing Director and Head of non-agency/agency CMBS & CLO trading at Credit Suisse. Additionally, he served on the fixed-income management operating committee.
During his tenure at Credit Suisse, the agency CMBS business was ranked #1 in securitization volume for 5 straight years, non-agency CMBS had a #1 market share and the CLO business’s share trended from #14 to top 3. The CMBS/CLO group was responsible for $1.5 Billion of profits during his tenure at the firm.
Prior to Credit Suisse, from 2005-2010, Mr. Callahan was a Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was co-head of the non-agency and agency CMBS trading business. In this role, Bank of America Merrill Lynch became the #1 rated non-agency franchise, and was the #1 rated agency CMBS securitization platform.
Prior to Bank of America Merrill Lynch, from 1996-2005, Mr. Callahan was Vice President in the Non-agency / Agency CMBS trading group at Nomura Securities. Other responsibilities included a senior trading role on the residential agency MBS trading desk.
Mr. Callahan graduated from Binghamton University in 1996 with a BS in Management / Finance. He also holds Series 7, 63 and 24 securities licenses.
